Law Essay: Arizona Law

Arizona Law
Arizona Law which is also referred as Arizona SB 1070 is supposed to be the strictest anti-illegal immigrant law ever imposed in United States and it has created hype in whole United States. This law requires that all foreigners have to carry their proper immigration Documents. It considers, “failure to carry immigration documents a crime and give the police broad power to detain anyone suspected of being in the country illegally” (Archibold).  This paper justifies the importance of this law and describes why this law is important at present scenario.
United States of America is considered a country of peace, freedom and liberty. It is a place where every person can be successful as there is no gender, color, origin and belief’s difference. Different people have come to the new land for different reasons but one thing they all had in common was the seeking of a better life.
If we view this law from another perspective, it becomes clear that it is not against the immigrants entering into Arizona. On the contrary, it ensures that no illegal immigrant with some ulterior motive can enter into Arizona.
We are passing through a very critical time. Arizona Law is favored by most of the Americans due to many reasons. Recently a rancher was murdered in Arizona and the suspected killer was an illegal immigrant having connections with drug dealers. Thus, it was concluded that illegal immigrants were involved in drug trafficking  At the same time, 2010 is election year and both the governor and the senator are facing extraordinary pressure, especially in the case when Senator McCain proclaimed that President Obama has failed to secure our borders. This law is their effort to save their faces.
Thus, keeping all this in mind, Arizona Law seems quite reasonable and a real need of the hour.
